Joseph Richard Betsy, 61, of Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 27th, 2024 with his family by his side. Joseph was born on July 2nd, 1962 to loving parents Joseph Betsy Sr. and Kathleen Betsy in Trenton, New Jersey. Joseph grew up in Trenton and graduated from Steinert High School in 1980. It was on May 31st, 1980 that Joseph married the love of his life his wife Sharon with whom he spent the last 44 years. Together Joseph and Sharon had four children together and raised their family in Washington, New Jersey. Joseph worked for the Washington Wastewater Treatment Plant as the superintendent and later on for Bernards Township as the chief operator of their wastewater treatment plant.

Joseph will be forever remembered for the love that he had for his family and for his persistent work ethic, always making sure to provide for his family. Joseph loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar in his free time. Joseph had an inquisitive mind and always strived to learn new things, he was well-read to say the least. He enjoyed solving a challenge be that playing chess, a puzzle, or tinkering on one of his many various projects. Joseph also was into genealogy and had tracked his family’s tree across many generations. He also enjoyed PC gaming in his free time. He loved his dogs Izzy and Sasha, and taking them for long walks around the neighborhood. He also had a soft spot for his cat Annie. Most of all Joseph loved to spend time with his family and his grandchildren and if he could share his passions with them he took every opportunity to do so.
